Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Dishwasher/Bakery Prep to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Execute thorough cleaning and sanitizing of all kitchen utensils, dishes, cookware, and bakery equipment following established food safety procedures
- Assist in preparing bakery ingredients and components, including measuring, mixing, and assembling items as directed by the bakery team
- Support food preparation by organizing ingredients, portioning supplies, and preparing basic components for baking and cooking processes
- Operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, mixers, ovens, and other small appliances safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations and storage areas to ensure compliance with sanitation standards and prevent cross-contamination
- Assist with bussing tables and clearing dining areas to support overall restaurant operations
- Handle manual lifting of heavy items such as bulk ingredients or equipment safely and responsibly
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred, especially with bakery or pastry preparation
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitation procedures is essential
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including lifting heavy loads safely
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, mixers, ovens, and knives
- Strong understanding of kitchen health and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in food handling and cleanliness
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety
