Responsibilities
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute closet installations.
- Measure spaces precisely, mark locations for fixtures, and prepare surfaces for installation.
- Use hand tools and power tools for woodworking, cabinetry, trim carpentry, and fixture installation efficiently and safely.
- Install closet systems, cabinets, shelving, doors, and other storage components according to specifications.
- Ensure all installations adhere to safety protocols, including power tool safety and proper handling of materials.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate project timelines and resolve on-site challenges promptly.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, disposing of debris responsibly, and ensuring site safety at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in residential carpentry, woodworking, or related construction fields with a focus on closet or cabinet installation.
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools for woodworking, CNC machinery (if applicable), and woodworking machines.
- Familiarity with construction site safety practices including power tool safety and heavy lifting techniques.
- Ability to interpret construction plans involving framing, metal stud framing, drywall finishing (plastering/stucco), flooring installation, tile laying, electrical experience (for lighting fixtures), plumbing (for water access), masonry or concrete forming (for structural elements).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly to project changes or unforeseen issues like water damage restoration or mold remediation tasks.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients during remodeling or restoration projects.
