Duties
- Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans based on thorough clinical assessments and patient needs.
- Perform manual therapy techniques, trigger point therapy, and other modalities to alleviate pain and improve function.
- Conduct comprehensive clinical documentation following established standards, including medical documentation, treatment notes, and discharge plans.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care strategies.
- Utilize medical equipment safely and efficiently during therapy sessions while maintaining accurate electronic health records (EHR) management.
- Educate patients and their families on care plans, exercises, and post-treatment care to promote recovery at home or in outpatient settings.
- Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment approaches to optimize outcomes across diverse populations such as geriatrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, and acute care patients.
Experience
- Proven experience in physical therapy treatment implementation within inpatient, outpatient, or skilled nursing facility settings.
- Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques including trigger point therapy and physiotherapy modalities.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, orthopedics, and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy practice.
- Experience operating medical equipment used in physical therapy treatments with adherence to safety protocols.
- Familiarity with clinical assessment documentation standards and medical documentation practices.
- Prior work in home health or discharge planning environments is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills for effective caregiver and client interactions; experience working with diverse populations such as geriatrics or pediatrics is a plus.
