Environ-Civil Engineering, Ltd. is seeking an Environmental/Civil Engineer to support water and sewer pipe design. The selected applicant will be expected to work three days per week on our client’s site in Washington, DC and two days per week in our Columbia, MD office.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Prepare engineering designs, drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and hydraulic calculations for water distribution and sewer collection pipeline projects.
· Support projects through planning, design, permitting, bidding, construction, and construction administration.
· Develop plan and profile sheets, standard details, and technical reports for linear infrastructure projects.
· Coordinate with project teams, utility owners, agencies, and clients to deliver design packages on schedule.
· Conduct field investigations, assist with permitting, respond to RFIs, review shop drawings, and perform QA/QC to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering discipline.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license, or ability to obtain licensure within a reasonable timeframe.
- 2+ years of experience in the planning and design of water, wastewater, or municipal utility infrastructure projects.
- Experience with water and sewer pipeline design, specifications, and cost estimating.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar design software.
- Familiarity with applicable municipal, utility, and regulatory standards.
