Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, refrigeration units, appliances, and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and repair issues related to air conditioning, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration), and other mechanical systems using schematics and technical manuals.
- Conduct appliance repairs and service technician tasks efficiently, ensuring safety standards are met at all times.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to troubleshoot complex system problems accurately.
- Lead small maintenance projects or team efforts when necessary, demonstrating leadership qualities in coordinating repairs or upgrades.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance for accountability and future reference.
- Respond promptly to emergency repair requests to minimize operational disruptions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, or related maintenance roles.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and repair diverse equipment efficiently.
- Service technician experience is highly desirable; familiarity with schematics is essential for diagnosing complex issues.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, air conditioning units, refrigeration technology, and related mechanical components.
- Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics accurately; experience with construction or building maintenance is a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the capacity to guide team members or coordinate maintenance efforts effectively.
