CNC Machinist III
Location: Plano, TX 75024
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist III to program, set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC and manual machining equipment used to produce precision components.
Responsibilities:
- Program, set up, and operate CNC mills, CNC lathes, and manual lathes.
- Create and modify CNC programs using CAM software.
- Perform basic G-code editing at the machine.
- Select tooling, set work/tool offsets, and optimize feeds and speeds.
- Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and GD&T.
- Perform in-process and final inspections using micrometers, calipers, pin gauges, indicators, and other precision measuring equipment.
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, programming, and quality issues.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and basic equipment repairs.
- Support safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement efforts.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
- 5+ years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
- CNC programming and CAM software experience.
- Experience setting up and operating CNC and manual lathes.
- Working knowledge of G-code and machine-side editing.
- Ability to read blueprints and GD&T.
- Strong knowledge of machining processes, tooling, feeds, speeds, and material properties.
- Experience with precision measurement and inspection equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred: Experience with CamWorks/SolidWorks, Mastercam, or GibbsCAM, as well as multi-axis machining or continuous improvement experience.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and work around machinery throughout the workday and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
