LSSI is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), 3 days a week. Responsible for providing direct nursing services to clients and function as a key member of a team of social workers, nurses, support staff, and medical provider who are responsible for safe and quality client care in substance abuse programs.

Essential Functions:
- Administer TB tests and read results.
- Provide general health information regarding TB/Hepatitis/HIV.
- Carry out physician/medical provider’s treatment orders.
- Coordinate health information exchange with primary care physicians and psychiatrists, in accordance with client privacy laws.
- Complete and maintain all required documentation related to client services on time, accurately, and per policy and procedures.
- Demonstrate sensitivity and responsiveness to cultural differences of clients, coworkers, and community.
- Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity, treating clients, families, other LSSI workforce members, and collaborative organizations and/or individual in a dignified, respectful, honest, and fair manner.
Position Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
- Background check clearance required.
- Nursing license in good standing in the State of Illinois required.
- Minimum of two (2) years nursing experience required.
- Experience in substance abuse or mental health field preferred.
- Experience using Electronic Health Record preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent organization, presentation, and pc/computer skills, including experience using
Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with other related software.
