Salary: between $95,000 - $110,000 depending on experience + annual discretionary bonus
Location: Hybrid once fully trained – Monday & Friday are work from home; Tuesday through Thursday are in-office at our beautiful corporate office in Ladera Ranch, CA
Accounting Supervisor Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Accounting, the Accounting Supervisor oversees the Property Accountant’s workflow and processes.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Oversees and reviews monthly financial statement packets from Property Accountants.
- Works with the property Accountants and Operations staff to resolve outstanding bank reconciliation issues.
- Assists Director of Accounting in monitoring deposit verifications.
- Reviews and monitors the properties for various aspects including, but not limited to: reviewing loan escrow activities, ties GL balances to loan statements; compiles loan covenant reporting requirements; manages property insurance claim issues; other items as assigned.
- Assists with dash report auditing and processing monthly uploads; audits new store set-ups.
- Reviews sales tax packages; streamlines sales tax reporting; provides quarterly sales tax rate updates.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications Needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required..
- Minimum 5 years of direct experience required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Mastery of accounting and tax preparation software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Must be a team player!
