Job Summary
As a Technical Assistant at Mon Health, you will assist the Technologist to provide quality care to patients for the purpose of diagnostic and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders while using as low as reasonably achievable radiation exposure to the patient and self, and while providing an extraordinary patient experience, compassionate care and clinical excellence, one patient at a time.
Responsibilities
Assists in the Performance of Procedures: Follows all policies, procedures and protocols, working only in own job scope, to ensure patient comfort and safety at all times, with observation from supervisor and/or praise received from coworkers for demonstrating high job knowledge, skill, and willingness to help others. Reports issues immediately to supervisor.
Supplies and Equipment: Follows all policies, procedures, protocols, and manufacturer’s guidelines when handling equipment, while demonstrating proficiency in communicating issues and independently cleaning and stocking rooms.
Performs other duties as required: Always participates in staff meetings (or signs off as responsible for meeting minutes when unable to attend), self-education, in-services, competencies, and maintains required job knowledge (e.g. licensure and credentials, continuing education), as well as keeps informed of all communications (email, huddle notes, etc.) without prompting from manager, following policy and procedures surrounding these requirements. Coordinates the outpatient and inpatient department flow by maintaining communication between the department and patient floors. Assesses the patient’s needs related to comfort, and provides support accordingly. Escorts the patient to and from the procedure suite and assists as needed with patient arrival and departure from the department. Safely assists in the transport and handling of all patients according to policy. Upon completion of competency, performs routine IV placement for imaging procedures. Obtains patient history and screening prior to procedures. Performs i-stat functions upon competency. Willingly performs other duties as required.

Effective interpersonal communication skills in order to effectively collaborate with physicians and coworkers, and instruct patients and their families.
Heavy Work: Frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lbs with a maximum lifting of 100 lbs.
Education
• High School Diploma or GED
Credentials
• Basic Life SupportBLS certification either upon hire or within orientation period.
