Job Overview
The DSW Worker plays a vital role in providing compassionate care and support to individuals in a home community setting. This position focuses on assisting clients with their daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and engaging environment.
- Administer medication as prescribed and ensure proper documentation of medication administration.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the client's living space, promoting a safe and hygienic environment.
- Support clients with mobility needs, including lifting and transferring as required.
- Implement care plans tailored to individual client needs, including specialized care for those with dementia or other disabilities.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences of the clients.
- Respond promptly to client needs and emergencies while adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home community care or similar caregiving roles is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to lift and assist clients as needed while maintaining proper body mechanics for safety.
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols is highly desirable.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or dementia is a plus.
- A compassionate attitude toward caregiving and a commitment to enhancing client quality of life is essential.

Pay: $27,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
