Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of food safety and preparation, along with excellent customer service skills. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and ensuring customer satisfaction in a fast-paced café environment.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to standard recipes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment and utensils.
- Adhere to food safety guidelines and regulations during food handling and preparation.
- Operate cash registers, handle cash transactions, and accurately process payments.
- Engage with customers to provide excellent service, take orders, and answer questions about menu items.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations during peak hours.
- Perform basic maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices within the food industry.
- Familiarity with retail math for accurate cash handling and inventory management.
- Experience in food preparation techniques specific to café settings.
- Proficiency in operating cash registers and handling cash transactions.
