Fumee Kitchen & Cocktails is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Floor Manager to lead our dynamic food service team in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service flow during all shifts
- Supervise and motivate staff, including training new team members and conducting performance evaluations
- Manage food preparation processes, ensuring quality standards are consistently met
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation
- Control inventory levels, monitor stock rotation, and coordinate with suppliers to minimize waste
- Enforce food safety protocols and maintain cleanliness standards in compliance with health regulations
- Lead shift management by coordinating staff schedules, resolving customer issues promptly, and ensuring optimal staffing levels
- Assist in budgeting efforts by monitoring sales performance and controlling food costs
- Support catering, banquet events, or special functions as needed to enhance customer satisfaction
- Foster a positive team environment through effective communication, training & development initiatives, and leadership
Skills
- Proven experience in food service management within quick service & fast food or casual dining environments
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for transactions and reporting
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Demonstrated leadership abilities in supervising teams, training staff, and managing shifts effectively
- Experience with inventory control, food handling, and food safety standards
- Ability to manage budgets, perform cost analysis, and implement operational improvements
- Background in hospitality management or restaurant experience with fine dining or casual dining settings
- Skilled in supervising multiple departments including kitchen management, bar operations, or catering services
- Effective communication skills for interviewing candidates, staff training, and team development
