About the role
We're hiring a compassionate, dependable Animal Care Specialist and Kennel Assistant to join our team. You'll be responsible for the daily care, comfort, and well-being of dogs, cats, and small animals in our facility. If you love animals and want a hands-on role where no two days are the same, we'd love to meet you.
What you'll do
- Feed, water, and monitor animals throughout each shift
- Clean and sanitize kennels, runs, and common areas
- Walk dogs and facilitate supervised TLC sessions
- Observe and record changes in animal behavior or health
- Bathing services for cats and dogs
- Assist with owner check-ins and check-outs at the front desk
What we're looking for
- Genuine love of animals of all kinds
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working weekends and holidays
- Prior animal care experience preferred but not required
- Calm, patient demeanor — especially with anxious or fearful animals
- Basic computer skills for recordkeeping

Schedule
- Schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts (7:00am-6:00pm) with weekend and holiday rotation. This is a full-time position.
