We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Host to join our dynamic team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage guest relations will be key in this fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a warm and friendly atmosphere.
- Manage the seating chart and assign tables based on guest preferences and restaurant flow.
- Communicate wait times to guests accurately and courteously.
- Assist with reservations and provide information about menu offerings.
- Maintain cleanliness at the host stand and throughout the dining area.
- Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations when necessary.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service operations.
- Utilize Aloha POS system for managing reservations and seating arrangements effectively.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service or food service is preferred, particularly in a restaurant or hotel setting.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette and guest relations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha, is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
- Must be able to help team members as needed, demonstrating teamwork and collaboration skills.
