Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods, including pastries, cakes, and bread, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
- Decorate cakes and pastries with skillful cake decorating techniques to meet customer specifications.
- Handle food production tasks such as mixing, portioning, packaging, and maintaining food safety standards throughout all food handling processes.
- Assist in food preparation and cooking activities within the kitchen, supporting overall kitchen operations.
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service by taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and ensuring a positive guest experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery and coffee station, adhering to food safety regulations and sanitation protocols.
- Support catering events or special orders by preparing baked goods and beverages as required.
Experience
- Previous experience in a bakery or pastry shop is highly preferred, with demonstrated skills in baking, cake decorating, and food presentation.
- Strong knowledge of food handling procedures, kitchen safety standards, and food industry best practices.
- Experience working in fast-paced restaurant or catering environments is advantageous.
- Proficiency in culinary techniques such as knife skills, baking methods, and food preparation is essential.
- Familiarity with packaging baked goods for retail or catering purposes is a plus.
