Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where preschool-aged children can learn, grow, and thrive. The Preschool Teacher will be responsible for developing age-appropriate lesson plans, fostering social and emotional development, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote learning in areas such as literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment for all children, including those with disabilities.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and clear expectations.
- Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support children's development.
- Monitor each child's progress and provide individualized support as needed.
- Collaborate with special education staff to accommodate the needs of children requiring additional assistance.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom that encourages exploration and learning.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
Qualifications
- Associates degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered.
- Experience working with children in a preschool or childcare setting is essential.
- Knowledge of special education practices is a plus.
- Strong classroom management skills to create an effective learning environment.
- Ability to educate and engage children through creative activities and play-based learning.
- Experience in toddler care or nannying is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and staff.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive environment for all children.
