We work with students through individualized instruction designed around their current skill level, learning needs, and goals rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.
We are currently looking for a Math 1:1 Instructor to join our team and provide individualized instruction to students both virtually and in person in the Riverview area.
What You'll Do
- Provide engaging, individualized 1:1 math instruction
- Work with students at their current skill level and help close learning gaps
- Create lessons and activities based on provided student skill plans and goals
- Adapt instruction for different learning styles and abilities
- Support students with foundational skills, grade-level concepts, and skill development
- Track student progress and communicate important updates with Lotus Learning administration
- Maintain a positive, patient, and encouraging learning environment
- Provide both virtual and in-person instruction based on student scheduling needs
We're Looking for Someone Who:
- Has experience teaching, tutoring, or working directly with students
- Is confident providing math instruction across multiple skill levels
- Can break down math concepts in ways that are easy for students to understand
- Is patient, dependable, organized, and comfortable working independently
- Can adapt instruction for students who may learn differently or need additional support
- Is comfortable communicating with families and the Lotus Learning team
- Has reliable transportation for in-person sessions in the Riverview and surrounding area
- Is comfortable providing virtual instruction when needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Teaching, tutoring, education experience
- Experience working with homeschool students
- Experience supporting students with learning differences or exceptionalities
- Education-related degree or coursework is a plus, but relevant experience is also valued
Schedule
This is a part-time position with scheduling based on student needs and instructor availability. Applicants should have availability for a combination of in-person sessions in the Riverview area and virtual sessions.
Additional hours may become available as your student caseload grows.
