Hours: 37.5 billable hours/week

Position Overview:
Arthur Hapgood Elementary School is seeking a Special Education Teacher (Mild/Moderate) to support students in a TK–3 resource setting. This contract opportunity is ideal for an educator who is passionate about helping young learners with diverse educational needs succeed academically and socially.
The school is looking for a qualified candidate who can start as soon as possible.
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and resource support to TK–3 students.
- Develop and implement instruction aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction based on student needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, families, and support professionals.
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain required documentation.
- Support students in developing academic, social, and independent-learning skills.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
Requirements:
- Mild/Moderate (M/M) California CTC credential preferred and available to start ASAP.
- Candidates with the appropriate CTC credential in hand are strongly encouraged to apply.
- The school may assist with obtaining the required CTC credential.
- Previous special education/resource experience is preferred.
- Must be willing to complete the client's required fingerprinting process on site before starting.
- Candidates must be available to arrive at least one week before the start date for fingerprinting.
- If fingerprinting is delayed, the start date may be pushed back.
Schedule & Hours:
- Monday–Friday
- 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
- 30-minute unpaid lunch
- 7.5 billable hours per day
- 37.5 billable hours per week
- Day shift
- No on-call, call-back, or charge responsibilities
