Job Overview
We’re seeking a friendly, reliable Medical Assistant with at least two years of experience in a medical office setting. Proficiency with EMR systems—particularly eClinicalWorks (eCW)—and strong computer skills are essential. The ideal candidate communicates clearly and professionally, with a genuine ability to connect with patients.
The successful candidate will demonstrate sound judgment, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic in all aspects of patient care and office operations.
Duties
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and assisting with physical assessments
- Assist healthcare providers during exams and procedures
- Perform EKGs, Spirometry, nebulizer treatments, vaccinations, injections, phlebotomy and administer medications as directed, ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Conduct basic diagnostic procedures or specimen collection in accordance with clinical protocols
- Sterilize instruments, stock exam rooms
- Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) accurately by documenting patient information, medical history, and treatment plans
- Support medical office management through appointment scheduling, patient intake processes, and insurance documentation including ICD coding
- Communicate test results to patients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas while adhering to infection control standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in medical office settings with familiarity in medical administrative support and clinical assistance
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and ICD coding practices
- Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management (eClinicalWorks preferred)
- Competency in performing venipuncture (phlebotomy), medication administration, vital signs measurement, and patient documentation
- Strong communication skills with a focus on patient service excellence and teamwork in fast-paced settings

Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
