Drop-and-hook freight flow and operational consistency are the foundation of this regional CDL A truck driver position based in Camden. CK Transportation is hiring drivers who prefer organized freight planning, familiar Northeast lanes, and a workweek that follows a dependable routine instead of changing every few days.
This fleet runs established regional routes throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio, and surrounding states. Dispatch plans freight in advance whenever possible, allowing smoother transitions between loads while reducing unnecessary downtime. Drivers typically leave early in the week, maintain steady regional miles, and return home for a full 48-hour reset every weekend.

The Operation
Drivers benefit from repeat freight lanes that create familiarity with customer locations and delivery routes over time. The operation focuses on keeping trucks moving with consistent freight instead of frequent route changes. The combination of planned dispatch and dependable freight volume helps support reliable weekly mileage throughout the year.
Drivers are assigned 2019 or newer Freightliner Cascadia tractors equipped with automatic transmissions, APUs, inverters, refrigerators, double bunks, SiriusXM capability, and TV setup options. Equipment is maintained on a regular preventive maintenance schedule to maximize uptime and reduce unexpected delays.
Weekly earnings generally range from $1,350 to $1,550 based on miles and performance. Drivers who qualify may participate in the $1,200 guaranteed minimum pay program during slower freight periods. Payroll is processed every Friday. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid vacation, holiday pay, safety incentives, and E-Z Pass and I-Pass coverage.
Orientation lasts approximately 2.5 days with hotel accommodations and meals provided. Drivers receive $500 during orientation before beginning their first dispatched load.
Applicants must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid Class A CDL, and have either 3 months of OTR experience within the last year, 6 months of OTR or local driving experience within the last year, or 1 year of OTR experience within the past 3 years.
