Duties
- Provide attentive supervision and care for children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children
- Plan and implement engaging activities that promote childhood development, learning, creativity, and social interaction
- Support children with disabilities by adapting activities and providing personalized assistance to ensure inclusive participation
- Maintain a safe environment by following health and safety protocols, including first aid and CPR procedures when necessary
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to share updates on their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns
- Manage behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management strategies
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and transportation as needed
Requirements
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly valued
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training preferred
- Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration
- Ability to plan age-appropriate activities that foster learning and fun for children of various ages
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws to ensure compliance with child safety regulations
- Demonstrated patience, adaptability, and a nurturing attitude to support children's emotional well-being
