The Substitute Teacher works on-call assignments, short and long-term assignments, as well as seasonal roles to support our in-person, classroom-based Early Childhood Programs. The role of the substitute teacher is varied, and requires flexibility, cooperation and collaboration. This role assists the teacher with curriculum, classroom cleanliness, and meal service. This position requires a deep respect for children, strong classroom management skills, and experience working with diverse populations, including children with special needs. This person must adhere to Campagna Center Policies and Early Childhood Programs Policies, which are guided by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) Standards, Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) Licensing Standards and the Head Start Performance Standards.
