Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Data and Voice Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing telecommunications and networking systems across various environments. Your expertise will ensure seamless communication and data transfer for our clients, supporting their operational success through reliable technology solutions.
Duties
- Install and configure data and voice communication systems including Ethernet, VoIP, Cisco routers, Juniper equipment, and telephony hardware.
- Perform cable termination, structured cabling installation (Cat5, Cat6), and network wiring in compliance with industry standards such as NEC.
- Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostics using specialized tools like telecommunication testing equipment, and diagnostic software to identify issues with equipment or cabling.
- Maintain and repair telecommunications systems including low-voltage electrical wiring
- Support fiber optic systems installation.
- Utilize schematics, network diagrams, and technical manuals to guide installation and troubleshooting procedures.
- Collaborate with clients on service requests related to CCTV systems (including camera setup), access control systems, and other communication infrastructure projects.
Skills
- Proven experience in field service roles involving telecommunications systems.
- Strong understanding of computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN setup, Ethernet cabling, network wiring, and network installation.
- Skilled in system installation, cable termination, structured cabling (Cat5/Cat6), and low-voltage electrical wiring.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as telecommunication testing equipment, power tools, hand tools, and electrical testers.
- Familiarity with NEC standards for electrical installations and safety protocols for low-voltage electrical systems.
- Experience working with IT hardware components including computer hardware setup and maintenance in data centers or similar environments.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
