SUPERVISOR - WEEKEND SHIFT
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Production supervisors are responsible for both setting goals and seeing that goals are met. It is the supervisor’s job to keep production running smoothly and efficiently, ensuring that products are delivered on time and that they meet the company's established levels of quality.
RESPONSIBILITY AND AUTHORITY:
Supervises and coordinates production activities through employees while providing needed resources to accommodate safety, quality, and production expectations. Manages a staff of 10+ employees to provide needed coverage of production, to assure customer demand is properly met. Supports and participates in continuous improvements. Complies with company policies and assist in providing a safe and organized work area through the help and support of the senior supervisors and manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
- Balances safety, quality, productivity, and cost to achieve highest possible efficiencies with continuous improvement in all areas.
- Ensures effective employee relations. Provides coaching and Development. Resolves employee issues through problem resolution.

Manages departmental performance and provides regular reports to manager.

Implements company policies for example managing absenteeism and applying proper disciplinary procedures as required.

Maintains safety culture by performing safety inspections, issuing toolbox talks, and performing incident investigations as necessary.
- Responsible for all other duties assigned.

Working cross functionally to ensure and maintain the most accurate standard for product and time allocation requirements.
MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS (Skills & Abilities)

Excellent communication skills needed to correspond among all levels of the organization

Computer skills (proficient in using Microsoft Office and ERP systems)

WORK EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of 5 years working in a manufacturing environment.
