Guided by our core values of Passion, Respect, and Excellence, the Director of Central Supply ensures that all departments are properly supported with the materials and equipment needed to provide exceptional care and service.
This role plays a key part in maintaining operational readiness, supporting clinical teams, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards while promoting efficiency, organization, and accountability.
Responsibilities for Central Supply:
Oversee the procurement, organization, and distribution of medical and facility supplies to ensure timely and efficient support of resident care services.
Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure supplies and equipment are readily available in accordance with established par levels and operational needs.
Monitor supply usage to ensure efficiency, minimize waste, and prevent misuse of equipment and resources.
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, standards, and facility policies related to supply management.
Coordinate with department leaders to assess supply needs and ensure alignment with resident care demands and operational priorities.
Maintain organized storage areas and ensure proper handling, labeling, and rotation of supplies.
Qualifications for Central Supply:
Working knowledge of medical terminology and experience in ordering, tracking, and maintaining par levels preferred; on-the-job training may be provided.
Ability to make independent decisions in a timely and effective manner when circumstances require.
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and contribute to a positive work environment.
Ability to communicate tactfully and professionally with personnel, residents, families, visitors, government agencies, and the general public.
Knowledge of supply chain practices, procedures, and inventory management principles.
Ability to work cooperatively with others and contribute to a culture of teamwork and shared success.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to minimize waste and ensure efficient use of supplies and equipment.
