Seeking a sous chef to join the team at The Porchetta Group at our Decatur restaurant, The White Bull. Background in Italian cuisine preferred. Farm to table and pasta experience necessary. Compensation based on experience and opportunity for advancement. Looking for people who have a "can do" attitude. Minimum two years sous chef experience. Responsibilities
- Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Constant communication with Executive Chef on daily tasks needed.
- Understanding how to use Excel spreadsheets, POS systems, ordering through vendors.
- Oversee food preparation and ensure high-quality dishes are consistently produced.
- Supervise kitchen staff to maintain a productive and efficient work environment.
- Implement food service management strategies to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Utilize cooking skills to create innovative and appealing menu items.
- Coordinate catering events and ensure seamless execution.
- Maintain inventory control to minimize waste and optimize cost efficiency.
- Keeping moral up but upholding our standards.
