Duties
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges with precision.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and guiding them through product selections.
- Conduct product demos when appropriate to showcase features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities.
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to ensure an attractive shopping environment.
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods accurately while adhering to cash handling procedures.
- Assist with stocking and inventory management to ensure product availability and freshness.
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when taking orders or answering inquiries from customers or vendors.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively.
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and basic retail math is advantageous.
- Supervising experience in a retail or grocery setting is a plus, demonstrating leadership and team coordination abilities.
- Strong communication skills combined with a friendly attitude are essential for delivering outstanding customer service.
