BROAD RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Farm Worker will assist in the animal areas and spend most of their day cleaning stalls, feeding animals, and maintaining sanitation around the farm.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Morning and afternoon chores, including feeding, watering and cleaning of stalls in horse barn, teaching barn or other farm areas
- Grooming animals, tacking horses, helping in animal training
- Assisting with medical treatment when needed
- Other duties as assigned
Physical/Mental Requirements (ADA Compliance):
- In order to perform the essential duties of the job, the incumbent must be able to speak, hear, see and type
- Must have the ability to work long hours, in a hectic environment, often under pressure.
- Be physically able to work outdoors and perform physical labor in all types of weather for at least 8 hours a day
Education/Experience:
- Interest in working with animals
- Willingness to work hard in a farm setting
- Experience working with large farm animals/horses
- Ability to communicate both orally and in writing
Licensure/Certification:
The pay rate for this role is $16.00 per hour.
This is a per diem role and is not benefit eligible.
