Tasting Room Lead — Part-Time to Full-Time

JBell Wine Company is looking for a welcoming, organized, and sales-minded Tasting Room Lead to help lead exceptional guest experiences at our Zillah tasting room.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys wine, hospitality, local community, and helping a consumers to learn about wine.
Compensation & Schedule
- $20–$45 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and sales performance
- 30–40 hours per week, with the opportunity to grow into a full-time role
- Weekend availability is required — most shifts are Friday through Sunday
- Availability for occasional winery events, holidays, and busy seasonal weekends preferred
What You’ll Do
- Deliver warm, knowledgeable, and memorable wine-tasting experiences
- Build guest relationships and encourage wine-club memberships, bottle sales, and return visits
- Help keep the tasting room welcoming, stocked, organized, and running smoothly
- Assist with winery events, private tastings, and local community partnerships
- Support social-media content and promotion of upcoming events and releases
- Work closely with winery leadership to uphold JBell Wine Company’s hospitality standards
What We’re Looking For
- Previous tasting room, winery, hospitality, or customer-service leadership experience preferred
- Strong communication, sales, and relationship-building skills
- Interest in Washington wine and the Yakima Valley wine community—or a genuine willingness to learn
- Comfortable working independently and taking initiative during a shift
- Dependable, organized, professional, and detail-oriented
- Valid Washington State MAST permit required
- Must be able to work weekends and be on your feet for extended periods
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts
- Ability to lift, carry, and move wine cases, merchandise, and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds
