Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols and document all medication activities in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Support residents with dementia or Alzheimer's care by implementing memory care techniques and behavior management strategies
- Operate manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely to assist with resident transfers and mobility needs
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Engage residents in social activities, encouraging participation to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being
Requirements
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments is highly preferred
- Proven skills in assisting with ADLs, medication administration, and vital signs measurement
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, geriatrics, and behavior management techniques
- Valid CBRF or CNA certification or equivalent licensure; CPR and First Aid certifications required or willing to obtain upon hire
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities is advantageous
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform manual handling tasks; physical stamina is essential
- Strong communication skills to effectively support residents’ needs and collaborate with team members
