At The Arc of Middlesex County, you'll work alongside a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and other professionals to provide high-quality, person-centered behavioral services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

What You'll Do
1. Implement individualized behavior support and skill acquisition programs under the supervision of a BCBA.
2. Collect and analyze behavioral data to help monitor participant progress.
3. Utilize evidence-based ABA strategies including:
- Discrete Trial Teaching (DTT)
- Natural Environment Teaching (NET)
- Reinforcement strategies
- Prompting and prompt fading
- Behavior reduction interventions
4. Assist with behavioral and functional assessments.
5. Support individuals during challenging behaviors using approved de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques.
6. Collaborate with BCBAs, families, and interdisciplinary teams to promote consistency and positive outcomes.
7. Maintain accurate documentation, session notes, and data collection while ensuring compliance with BACB, Medicaid, and agency standards.
What We're Looking For
✔ Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification (or a Bachelor's degree in ABA, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field)
✔ Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
✔ Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
✔ Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team
✔ Valid New Jersey driver's license with an acceptable driving record
✔ CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Additional Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and safely respond to behavioral crises when necessary
- Successful completion of criminal background, CARI, Central Registry, and drug screening
- Ability to travel locally as needed
