We’ve grown our team exponentially over the past few years and are adding an experienced Medical Biller & Collector with strong NYS Workers’ Comp and NYS No-Fault expertise.
What You’ll Do
- Charge entry and A/R follow-up with commercial payers, Medicare, NYS Workers’ Comp carriers, No-Fault carriers, and patient attorneys.
- Training with all insurance types
- Payment posting and reconciliation.
- Appeals: Prepare and submit appeal packets to all insurance types.
- Decision review: Read and interpret NYS Workers’ Compensation Board decisions and denials. Submit HP-1s via the Onboard WCB portal.
- No-Fault: Manage policy-violation denials and related workflows.
- Work daily in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
What You Bring
- Some experience in NYS Workers’ Comp and NYS No-Fault billing/collections. (Training available)
- Solid understanding of payer rules, denial codes, and appeals processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
Schedule & Work Setting
- Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8-hour shift
- On-site in Hauppauge, NY
