Job Overview
Scarizona Scaregrounds is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Assistant Operations Manager to help bring our haunted attractions to life behind the scenes. In this role, you will support the Operations Manager in overseeing daily event operations, including staff placement procedures, administrative organization, and overall team coordination. Your leadership will help ensure a smooth, efficient, and thrilling experience for both our guests and our team. Responsibilities
- Assist in managing day-to-day operational logistics, including staff scheduling, placement assignments, and coordination across multiple haunted attractions and event areas.
- Oversee and support team leads and supervisors, ensuring staff are properly assigned, trained, and positioned for nightly operations.
- Maintain and improve administrative systems for tracking staffing, attendance, and performance.
- Coordinate with various departments (actors, security, ticketing, and operations) to ensure seamless event execution.
- Help develop and implement efficient placement procedures to maximize flow, coverage, and guest experience.
- Monitor staffing levels in real time during event nights and adjust assignments as needed.
- Support onboarding and training processes for seasonal staff and actors.
- Assist with internal communication systems to ensure all teams are informed and aligned.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency, organization, and overall event operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and operational guidelines across all areas of the event.
Qualifications
- Experience in operations, event management, staffing coordination, or similar leadership roles.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple moving parts in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with experience supervising or coordinating teams.
- Ability to problem-solve quickly and adapt in a dynamic, live-event setting.
- Experience with scheduling systems, spreadsheets, or operational tracking tools is preferred.
- Passion for live events, entertainment, or haunted attractions is a plus.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and peak seasonal hours (especially during October).
