Industrial Environmental, Inc. is seeking a skilled and safety‑focused Dredge Operator/Technician to join our growing team. This position plays a critical role in the safe operation of dredging equipment at various project sites throughout the Eastern Half of the United States .
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of dredging and heavy equipment used in field operations
- Perform daily inspections of equipment and work areas
- Conduct repairs and routine maintenance on dredge systems and related machinery
- Monitor visual and auditory signals during operation to ensure safe performance
- Read and interpret dredge pressure, vacuum, and flow gauges
- Assist with pipe and cable movement and installation as needed
- Complete all other duties as assigned
Preferred Experience
- Watercraft operation (dredges, john boats, barges, etc.)
- Working with cables, pipelines, and diesel engines
- Heavy equipment operation in industrial or construction environments

Physical & Work Environment Requirements
This role frequently operates heavy equipment and requires the ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl as needed. Candidates must be able to perform labor‑intensive tasks such as pipe and cable movement and assist with equipment/material installation .
Schedule & Travel
This is a full‑time position that potentially requires overtime, weekend work, and travel from our Rockport, IN office to job sites across the Eastern U.S.
