Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our fast-paced dealership team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services. Your energetic approach will ensure a positive experience for every client, guiding them through the service process with professionalism and enthusiasm. You will coordinate between customers and our skilled technicians, accurately assess vehicle needs, and promote additional services to maximize customer satisfaction and dealership success. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
- Explain repair estimates, service procedures, and recommended maintenance options clearly and confidently
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, diagnose issues using automotive diagnostics tools, and ensure timely completion of services
- Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, transmission repairs, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, auto body repairs, and other automotive services
- Prepare detailed service writing documentation including estimates, work orders, and invoices while maintaining accuracy and transparency
- Manage cash handling responsibilities securely and efficiently during transactions
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and promote ongoing vehicle maintenance or sales opportunities
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a dealership or auto service management environment is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and repair procedures including transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, wheel alignments, suspension systems, tire service, diesel engines, shocks & struts, auto body repair, air brake systems
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients of all backgrounds
- Demonstrated ability in auto estimating software and service writing processes
- Experience in upselling automotive services and automobile sales is advantageous
- Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on mechanic or service technician experience is a plus
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
