Overview

Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class B commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers, transporting hazardous and non-hazardous freight.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently while following proper manual handling techniques and safety procedures.
- Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries across over-the-road (OTR) driving routes.
- Comply with all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) rules, and hazardous materials regulations during every trip.
- Handle dangerous goods with care, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to hazardous materials regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery records in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure truck safety and compliance with safety standards.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL license with Hazmat endorsement required; experience with hazardous materials transportation preferred.
- Proven delivery driving experience with a focus on route driving and freight handling.
- Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and automobile transportation is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazard communication procedures, and truck loading/unloading protocols.
- Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and safely.
- Excellent driving skills combined with a commitment to safety and compliance at all times.
- Physical ability to handle manual loading/unloading tasks and perform routine vehicle inspections.
