Coordinate with all departments to ensure that all flights are operated safely and efficiently with the goal of flight payload maximization, as assigned by the Director of Schedule Optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Understand and be able to hold oneself and the supervised team to Core values, the Mission statement and Safety directives.
2. Work daily with Cargo Operations to ensure that freight and mail are processed timely and moved efficiently.
3. Coordinate changes to the daily flight schedule between Company departments.
4. Coordinate charters, flag stops and other ad hoc movement as requested by Sales.
5. Coordinate with Flight Operations, Crew Scheduling and Flight Crews to assure safe operation of flights.
6. Create and maintain databases and reports to identify trends and patterns to support and promote Schedule Optimization.
7. Identify, address, and report hazards and safety violations, and maintain and communicate situational awareness to all personnel while in the operation.
8. Be willing and able to handle Corrective Counseling for Safety violations and/or Company irregularities.
9. Direct and coordinate operational needs per contract requirements per vendor and/or agent specifications.
10. Communicate between the customers and the Company as it relates to current and future operational direction and/or safety requirements.
11. Use computer programs such as Excel to gather and analyze data and present findings in a clear and concise manner.
12. Produce reports for outside entities, including but not limited to government entities, vendors and customers.
13. Work with all operating departments and or sub-service contractors to establish schedule contingencies during unexpected schedule disruptions.
14. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
15. Perform daily work with computers, phone and calculators.
16. Assume responsibilities of the Director in his/her absence.
17. Available to work all shifts, attend required meetings and trainings per operational needs.
18. Other duties may be assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, 5-year background check, 10-year criminal history check and security threat assessment.
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree and/or experience that insures that the candidate has the computational, mathematical and analytical skills necessary for the position.
- Airline experience is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
- Ability to analyze a problem and/or situation.
- Familiarity working in a union environment desirable.
- Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
