Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks across over-the-road (OTR) routes.
- Plan routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency.
- Load and unload freight manually or with equipment such as forklifts, ensuring proper handling of logistics cargo including hazardous materials and dangerous goods in compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations.
- Transport automobile parts or entire vehicles via automobile transportation or flatbed trucks while adhering to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
- Deliver freight to various locations accurately and on schedule, maintaining excellent customer service throughout each interaction.
- Follow all safety protocols related to hazardous materials regulations and truck loading/unloading procedures.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections, routine maintenance checks, and document vehicle condition to ensure compliance with DOT standards.
- Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, cargo manifests, inspection reports, and delivery documentation in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a valid CDL A license.
- Hands-on experience operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or dump trucks preferred.
- Familiarity with route driving using GPS navigation tools for efficient deliveries across long distances.
- Knowledge of truck loading and unloading techniques including manual handling of freight and logistics cargo handling.
- Previous delivery driver experience involving freight transportation or automobile transport is highly desirable.
- Understanding of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), hazardous materials regulations, and dangerous goods handling standards.
- Ability to operate manual transmission trucks safely and confidently.
- Experience working with forklift equipment for cargo loading/unloading when necessary.

Pay: From $180.00 per day
