Outside Sales Representative - Conover NC
Full-Time | Base + Commission
As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business relationships with local and regional employers, presenting Labor Connections' staffing solutions, and closing new accounts. You will manage your own territory, set your own appointments, and work directly with our recruiting team to deliver results for clients once the relationship is established. This is not a sit-at-a-desk role. The right person wants to be in front of people — building trust, solving problems, and growing a book of business they can be proud of.

What you'll do:
- Prospect and develop new business accounts within your assigned territory through cold calls, site visits, and relationship-building
- Present Labor Connections' staffing and workforce solutions to hiring managers, HR professionals, operations leaders, and business owners
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships based on trust, follow-through, and results
- Conduct needs assessments with prospects to understand their workforce challenges and tailor solutions accordingly
- Collaborate closely with the recruiting team to ensure clients are serviced effectively once accounts are active
- Track activity, pipeline, and account status — own your numbers and report results clearly
- Represent Labor Connections professionally in the field at all times
- Identify market trends and competitor activity within your territory and report findings to leadership
What we're looking for
- Proven track record in B2B outside sales — you can point to results, not just activity
- Self-starter mentality — you do not need to be managed to stay productive; you manage yourself
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills — you build rapport quickly and maintain it over time
- Comfortable with rejection and persistent in pursuit of new business- Organized and disciplined — able to manage a territory, a pipeline, and your own schedule simultaneously
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required — this role is on the road daily- Experience in staffing, workforce solutions, or recruiting is a strong plus but not required
- Familiarity with the western North Carolina business landscape and manufacturing industry is a significant advantage
