A respected Portland law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Administrative Assistant / Litigation Legal Assistant to support attorneys through all phases of civil litigation, including court filings, e-filing, discovery management, trial preparation, and calendar management.

5+ years of legal administrative assistant, legal secretary, or litigation assistant experience

Experience with state and federal court e-filing

Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and court deadlines

Excellent proofreading and document formatting skills

Strong Microsoft Office and Outlook skills

Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Support attorneys and paralegals throughout all stages of litigation

Prepare, revise, proofread, and finalize legal documents

Redact confidential information and maintain file accuracy

Organize discovery, exhibits, and litigation materials
-
Perform Bates stamping and document production tasks

Electronically file documents in state, federal, and appellate courts
-
Track deadlines and maintain litigation calendars
-
Coordinate hearings, depositions, mediations, and meetings
-
Prepare materials for hearings, motions, and depositions
-
Manage attorney calendars, emails, contacts, and scheduling

Handle phone calls, voicemail, and conference calls
-
Arrange attorney travel and logistics
-
Process vendor payments and settlement checks
-
Communicate professionally with clients, courts, vendors, and legal staff
