Overview
Join our team as an In-House Estimator, where your expertise will drive the success of our synthetic turf and landscape construction projects through precise, comprehensive cost analysis. In this role, you'll leverage your construction estimating background to develop accurate project budgets, evaluate material requirements, and collaborate closely with our sales team and clients. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help ensure projects are scoped accurately, priced competitively, and delivered with optimal cost efficiency. Duties
- Review and interpret construction drawings, plans, and hand-drawn sketches to accurately estimate project costs and material needs
- Digitize hand drawings using Pool Studio and Morpholio Trace
- Perform detailed quantity take-offs and cost calculations to determine accurate job costs
- Populate and manage proposals within our CRM (Jobber)
- Calculate total project costs using ZevBit and related tools
- Assist with project coordination and logistics for projects across the U.S. and internationally
- Support a sales team of three throughout the estimating and proposal process
- Interface directly with clients from time to time to clarify scope or answer questions
- Participate in business development research to help identify and evaluate new project opportunities
- Maintain detailed, organized records of estimates, proposals, and client communications
- Coordinate with project managers on cost before and during projects.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in synthetic turf or landscape estimating preferred, but not required
- Comfortable learning and working within Pool Studio, Morpholio Trace, Jobber, and ZevBit
- Strong blueprint/plan-reading skills and ability to translate drawings into accurate cost estimates
- Highly detailed, organized, and thorough — this role has no room for missed scope or sloppy math
- Excellent communication skills; comfortable managing multiple estimates under deadline pressure
- No degree required — we value accuracy and work ethic over credentials
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
