We are searching for a full time dental assistant to join our growing dental practice. We have added new ops and a new doctor and need an assistant to join him. We would like our future team member to be customer service oriented, want to take great care of patients, and have a willingness to grow in their profession. Our office is updated and comfortable for patients and staff. We use the latest technology: CBCT, laser, digital sensors, intraoral camera, etc. Experienced assistants and new grads are welcome to apply. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist in providing high-quality dental care while ensuring a comfortable and efficient experience for patients. This role requires proficiency in various dental procedures, familiarity with dental terminology, and the ability to maintain a sterile environment.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry.
- Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
- Take X-rays, utilizing knowledge of medical imaging and dental radiography.
- Manage patient records, including medical documentation and medical records, while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for patient management and scheduling.
- Conduct preliminary assessments by taking vital signs and gathering medical histories.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Assist with prosthodontics, endodontics, implants, and general dentistry procedures as needed.
- Operate 3D scanners for advanced imaging when required.
Experience
Candidates should possess a strong background in dental assisting with experience in a clinical setting. Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and infection control practices is essential. Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
