Position Title: Trash Can Cleaning Driver
Job Overview:
This Trash Can Cleaning Driver is responsible for driving a specialized vehicle that cleans and sanitizes residential and commercial trash cans. This role combines operating a cleaning vehicle with providing excellent customer service, ensuring that trash bins are cleaned properly, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving & Operation:
- Safely operate a trash can cleaning vehicle to various residential and commercial locations.
- Navigate to scheduled cleaning routes and ensure timely service delivery.
- Operate the cleaning vehicle's sanitation equipment (high-pressure washers, disinfectant dispensers, etc.) effectively and safely.
- Trash Can Cleaning:
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize trash cans using the equipment in the vehicle.
- Ensure the proper disposal of wastewater and cleaning solutions, adhering to local environmental regulations.
- Perform quality checks to ensure all cans are clean and odor-free.
- Customer Service:
- Provide courteous, professional service to customers when interacting with them.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and requests related to trash can cleaning.
- Ensure customers' needs are met and maintain a high level of satisfaction.
- Maintenance & Safety:
- Regularly inspect and maintain the cleaning vehicle and equipment for proper functioning.
- Ensure that the vehicle is clean and well-maintained, including refueling and checking fluid levels.
- Follow all safety protocols to avoid accidents, injuries, and environmental hazards.
- Report any mechanical issues or accidents to management.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Maintain accurate records of completed jobs, customer feedback, and service schedules.
- Ensure all required paperwork (e.g., invoices, service logs) is filled out correctly.
- Update and report daily route schedules and service completion to the dispatcher or management.
- Route Management:
- Follow daily route plans, ensuring all service requests are completed on time.
- Adjust routes when necessary based on customer needs or unforeseen delays.
- Keep track of service frequency and monitor customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Experience: Prior experience in a driving or sanitation role is preferred but not required.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Skills:
- Strong driving skills and ability to operate specialized cleaning equipment.
- Good customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to handle physical tasks (lifting, maneuvering trash cans, etc.).
- Basic problem-solving skills for vehicle or equipment malfunctions.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and bending.
Work Environment:
- Working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Interaction with the public during service delivery.
Compensation:
- Hourly wage or salary depending on experience and candidate fit.
