Job Summary
Family Table is looking for a line cook to join our team. We are a breakfast/lunch restaurant located in Worcester, MA. We strive to offer excellent choices in a scratch American kitchen. We offer a challenging and supportive environment.
Looking for skilled cooks with prior breakfast experience. Ideal candidates are energetic & team oriented. As a member of the team, you will be required to manage your own station including monitoring food quality and quantity.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu plans.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Utilize proper knife skills for meal preparation, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Adhere to food handling and safety regulations to ensure the health and well-being of our guests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
- Provide support to other kitchen staff as needed, fostering a team-oriented environment.
Experience
- Previous experience with serving breakfast in a culinary role within a restaurant or food service setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Experience with meal preparation, menu planning, and fine dining service is highly desirable.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others in a team environment.
