Warehouse Associate is a key member of the Warehouse Shipping and Receiving team. They will learn each position over time to provide the versatility needed to keep the department running efficiently. This position involves both computer and hands-on activities to assist with preparing, moving, and loading finished products, while also maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment.
1st Shift: Monday – Friday 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Starting Pay: $19.00/hour
Key Responsibilities
- Pack/palletize/wrap products for safe shipment.
- Load and unload trucks using manual or powered equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts.
- Staging orders, pulling products from inventory, and organizing the shipping area.
- Weighing product from return to stock.
- Putting inventory into designated warehouse locations.
- Maintain cleanliness in the shipping/receiving area, including sweeping, trash removal, and general housekeeping.
- Assisting with cycle counts.
- Follow safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Initiate and participate in continuous improvement activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Warehouse or manufacturing experience is a plus but not required.
- Problem solving skills.
- Knowledge of IQMS, Word, Excel and Microsoft office a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of handheld scanners is a plus.
- Able to lift 50 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, bend, and reach.
- Basic ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment or alone.
- Willing and able to pass the forklift certification we provide.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work in a fast-paced setting.
- Knowledge of basic safety practices.
- Attention to detail for accurate packing.
- Able to use a compound miter saw to cut corner boards for shipments.
