Duties
- Safely operate box trucks, tow utility trailers, to deliver bounce houses and related equipment to various locations.
- Load and unload equipment using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as hand trucks, ensuring safe lifting practices.
- Install bounce houses at event sites by following setup procedures, securing equipment properly, and adhering to safety standards.
- Takedown and roll up inflatable units after events, ensuring all items are inspected for damage and properly stored for future use.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment and vehicles, performing minor repairs or reporting issues promptly.
- Adhere strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, traffic laws, and route schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients, answering questions, and ensuring satisfaction throughout the delivery process.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, inspections, and maintenance using mobile devices or other tracking tools.
Experience
- Jobs in construction, landscaping, and moving are typically helpful as a background as this job is very labor intensive.
- Experience operating box trucks and utility trailers is preferred.
- Familiarity with manual handling techniques, heavy lifting, and safe lifting practices in a workplace setting.
- Knowledge of route driving, load & unload procedures, and adherence to traffic regulations is essential.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment such as hand trucks.
- Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude and clear communication abilities.
