The Busser / Dishwasher position plays an important support role in creating a clean, welcoming, and efficient environment for guests and team members. This position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness throughout the tasting room, patio, and back-of-house areas, as well as operating the dishwashing station and supporting retail and tasting room operations as needed. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, able to work independently, and comfortable performing physically active work in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: (Including, but not limited to):
- Operate high-temperature dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently
- Wash, sanitize, dry, and properly store glassware, dishes, utensils, cookware, kitchen equipment, and service items
- Maintain adequate supplies of clean glassware and service items throughout operating hours
- Clean and sanitize dishwashing areas, sinks, counters, floors, and related equipment
- Properly dispose of trash and recycling
- Clear tables, bar areas, and guest seating areas promptly and efficiently
- Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, and other guest-facing surfaces
- Reset tables and seating areas for incoming guests
- Maintain cleanliness of patios, walkways, tasting areas, and other public spaces
- Assist retail + tasting room staff with operational tasks as needed
- Restock supplies, including napkins, glassware, cleaning materials, and other service items
- Assist with basic kitchen/bar prep work
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
- Support a positive guest experience through teamwork, professionalism, and attention to detail
- Performs other related duties as assigned
EXPECTATIONS:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to consistently work Saturdays and Sundays is required
- Provide a welcoming, professional demeanor when interacting with guests
- Ability to move quickly in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong work ethic and reliability

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must have reliable transportation
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Previous restaurant, hospitality, food service, bussing, or dishwashing experience a plus
- Experience working in a fast-paced customer service environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds consistently
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout a shift
- Frequent exposure to cleaning chemicals, water, and wet surfaces
- This position works in both indoor and outdoor environments - may be exposed to varying weather conditions
