Weekly Set Schedule During Academic Year:
Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays 3p-8:30pm, Sat & Sun 8a-5:30pm (off Wednesday and Thursday)
JOB SUMMARY:
This position involves a variety of tasks in the preparation and cooking of fast foods from pre-portioned ingredients, using a grill and a deep fryer. Work may be performed independently in accordance with standard operating procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Cooking of foods using a grill and deep fryer.

May dress and assemble sandwiches according to established portion and styling specifications and standards.

May use other machines for food preparation.

Maintains adequate production levels per customer demands.

Ensures proper preparation, utilization and rotation of food to maintain high standards of sanitation and quality.

Maintains a clean and sanitary work area.

Follow customer service guidelines to ensure customer satisfaction, demonstrated by a positive attitude and smile.

Maintains professional appearance according to uniform procedures and standards.

Demonstrates complete understanding of department policies and procedures and supports the department’s strategic plan.

Exhibits outstanding attendance and punctuality and takes corrective action to prevent any recurring absences.

Develops a positive working relationship with department and organization staff while avoiding conflict.

Displays a positive and enthusiastic approach to all assignments by following the employee code of conduct.

Directs lower grade and student employees as assigned.

Performs any related job duties as required or assigned.

Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS STANDARDS:

Satisfactory completion of an appropriate food service training course and one year full-time experience in using grill and fryer in fast food preparation.

Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Must be able to lift in excess of 60 pounds.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:
Will be required to pass a test prior to appointment to this title. The test will be pass/fail and will consist of a written portion and a practical (cooking) trial.
