We are seeking a passionate and skilled Grill Cook to join our dynamic culinary team! Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook grilled items such as steaks, burgers, seafood, vegetables, and specialty dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill station, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and functioning properly.
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures rigorously to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Assist in menu planning by providing input on grilling techniques and ingredient selection to enhance dish quality.
- Manage food production during peak hours by efficiently handling multiple orders while maintaining consistency in taste and presentation.
- Support other kitchen staff with food handling, preparation, and plating to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Adhere to all food handling guidelines, including proper knife skills, portion control, and temperature checks for safety.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, particularly with grilling or high-volume food production.
- Strong knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures.
- Demonstrated culinary experience with skills in braising, poaching, grilling, and other cooking techniques.
- Familiarity with dietary department standards or dietary aide experience is a plus.
- Excellent knife skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
- Experience in menu planning, meal preparation, and catering is desirable.
- Prior work in fine dining or upscale restaurant settings is advantageous but not required.
