Our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is a Level 4, 82-bed regional referral center for the seven-state region with a platinum-level designation for ECMO. We treat neonate, infant and pediatric patients less than 2 years old with conditions including hypoxemic respiratory failure, infections, hematological, neurological, cardiovascular, metabolic disorders, single major or multiple anomalies requiring diagnostic work-up and/or surgical intervention. We provide continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), renal dialysis and body cooling for neonates among many other therapies to provide the highest level of neonatal care to infants and their families.
We are hiring experienced NICU nurses, but if you are a nurse with adult or pediatric inpatient experience looking to transition to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), our "New To NICU" program within the Anschutz Neonatal Intensive Care Unit will support you in your journey. We are currently interviewing candidates with at least one year of general inpatient pediatric experience, pediatric ICU experience, or adult ICU experience. Next possible start dates for "New to NICU": July 6th and October 12th
Qualifications:
- EDUCATION – Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- EXPERIENCE – One year nursing experience. Candidates with NICU, general inpatient pediatric experience, pediatric ICU experience, or adult ICU experience strongly preferred.
- EQUIVALENCY- Applicants with an Associate's Degree in Nursing and who agree to obtain a BSN within three (3) years from their start/hire date may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master’s Entry to Practice Nursing (MEPN) may substitute for a BSN.
- LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION(S)– Current Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license or RN license from multistate compact; BLS/CPR from the American Heart Association with at least six (6) months left before expiration is required upon hire.
Eligible Incentives:
- Up to $4,400 in relocation benefits (100 mi. or greater) for qualifying positions - amount depends on where you're moving from.
Hours per week: Multiple FTEs available depending on level of relevant experience. Must work 20 hours/week to be eligible for benefits.
Shift:
New to NICU: If less than 1 year NICU RN experience, RNs will be offered rotating days/nights x1 year, then straight nights.
Experienced NICU: lf 1 year or greater NICU RN experience, RNs will be offered a straight night shift position.
Pay: $38.34 - $57.52 per hour
